#BlackLivesMatter Week: Amnesty International Vigil
Monday, November 14, 2016 · 12:45 - 1 PM
Right after "What Matters To You?", join Amnesty International by participating in a vigil, remembering the 900 lives lost to police brutality in 2016. We will be writing names on flags to plant into the ground. Afterwards, walk by the bottom step of the Commons Terrace this week to view the flag and paint your thoughts onto a dynamic art canvas.
UMBC's Black Lives Matter Week is a collaboration with the Black Student Union, the African Student Associations, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Amnesty International. This week is sponsored by the SGA Departments of Diversity & Multicultural Affairs, Institutional Affairs & Student Advocacy, and Leadership Development.
