#BlackLivesMatter Week: The Grapevine -- A Teach-In Moment
Wednesday, November 16, 2016 · 12 - 1 PM
Come and get informed. Join us as we discuss how the recent election and current racial relations affect the Black Lives Matter movement. What does this mean for both this country and this school?
Tonight we will talk and share opinions amongst those who support the movement, those who do not, and those who really don’t know what’s going on. As this discussion may be difficult for many people, please be sure to come ready to talk peacefully amongst your peers and faculty.
UMBC's Black Lives Matter Week is a collaboration with the Black Student Union, the African Student Associations, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Amnesty International. This week is sponsored by the SGA Departments of Diversity & Multicultural Affairs, Institutional Affairs & Student Advocacy, and Leadership Development.
