Students interested in careers in medical, biological, and/or bio-defense are invited to join the National Interagency Confederation for Biological Research (NICBR) at Ft. Detrick in Frederick, MD for an Exploring Careers in a Scientific Environment Symposium on Thursday, November 15, 2012. This free, day-long symposium will highlight career paths for students while presenting an overview of research being performed on Ft. Detrick and the National Cancer Institute - Frederick Campuses.

Department of Homeland Security
US Department of Agriculture
US Naval Medical Research Center
National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Transportation is provided by UMBC, but you must register in advance on UMBCworks and via the NICBR website. Both US Citizens and Non-Citizens are welcome, however, you must register in advance so that NICBR may complete a minimal background check on you.
