We would like to invite you to this collaborative session to learn more about SGSO and discuss how all of us can contribute in reviving the organization toward the goal of better representation...
Students will be encouraged to connect with the students in the program on a personal and professional level. It is our hope that students will view this organization as a social group and as a group that inspires students to think critically and constructively about topics in the field of Sociology. We welcome students to use this group to improve their graduate experiences and prepare themselves for careers in their field by learning about the opportunities available by encouraging collaboration with their peers, professors, and community.
We use this group and our related campus resources to host and participate in events that engage students in promoting social justice on our campus and locally. We partner with groups like Retriever Essentials to help address food insecurity and promote student well-being on campus, among other things.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
