Welcome back to the semester! To reintroduce ourselves, we are the UMBC SPIE Student Chapter. SPIE is an optics and photonics professional organization for ANYONE who is interested (all majors welcome, grad and undergrads)! SPIE has 15 scientific journals and hosts conferences and expos every year. SPIE has their hands in everything from neuroimaging to quantum computing. Come to our February chapter meeting to learn about what we do, what events we have going on in the next couple of months, and to meet other cool people who are interested in cool things.
