Campus Accessibility: Facilities Projects and Discussion
FM Spring Updates Disability-Inclusive Facilities
Facilities Management and the Office of Accessibility and Disability Services are hosting their Spring review of recent, current and potential construction projects that enhance accessibility, improve the physical environment of UMBC, and benefit the entire community while supporting accessibility for people with disabilities.
Learn
about the progress being made (have you used the new elevator in
Math/Psychology, Sondheim or Administration?), current/planned projects,
and share ideas to inform the proposal process for UMBC's participation
with the AccessMD Program.
Renovations that enhance accessibility beyond the scope of the program
will be shared because the projects include accessibility as part of the
design process.
Please RSVP below so we can include you with any event-related communications.
Questions about, and ideas for accessibility-enhancing projects may be submitted prior to the event via this link. |
UMBC's 2023-24 accessible route map is linked here as a reference.
Captioning will be provided. Contact the host, slazar@umbc.edu for accommodation requests such as alternate format materials or ASL, ask event-related questions, discuss access needs or any other questions.
We look forward to seeing you online for the presentation followed by Q&A.
Ideas for new projects may be shared at any time (not just via these presentations), and we would like to hear about them. Contact Celso Guitian in FM Campus Planning via cguitian@umbc.edu and Stephanie Lazarus, ADA/Section 504 Coordinator via slazar@umbc.edu / 410-455-5745. Similarly, UMBC accessibility concerns may be brought to our attention via this linked reporting form.
