Disability, Access and Accommodation at UMBC
Thursday, October 26, 2017 · 12 - 1 PM
October Disability Awareness Month is here! Join us to learn more about our newly-merged Office of Accessibility and Disability Services (ADS). ADS supports access, accommodation, and inclusion on campus for people with disabilities. Learn how ADS works in partnership with Facilities Management and other campus departments to support these values. Our panel includes:
Tawny McManus, Director, Office of Accessibility and Disability Services
Celso Guitian, Planner and UMBC ACCESS Maryland Project Planner, UMBC Planning and Construction Services
Stephanie Lazarus, Campus ADA/Section 504 Coordinator and employee accommodation coordinator
Brief presentations from panel members will be followed by a question and answer session. If you have any questions about the event, or would like to request an accommodation, please contact the organizer via: 410-455-5745. ASL interpretation is provided. As a brown bag event, you are welcome to bring your lunch.
If you are unable to attend and have a specific question or concern, reach out to our ADA/Section 504 Coordinator at 410-455-5745 or slazar@umbc.edu for information and resources.
