Volunteers for Medical Engineering (VME) have been a long-term partner of UMBC's, specifically with the Mechanical Engineering Department. Many capstone teams take on a VME challenge to design and build devices to empower individuals with disabilities. Next Tuesday (Oct 13) @ 11am, VME is hosting an "Art & Music" Zoom Event together with Towson University's Occupational Therapy Department. This free Zoom Event will feature several devices created by UMBC Capstone Teams and UMBC Mechanical Engineering alumni, and is an excellent way to honor the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disability Act, as well as celebrating 100 years of vocational rehabilitation.
