Sea chanteys are work songs sung on ships to accompany rhythmic labor. How did sailors conceptualize and articulate sex in their chantey? Join Dr. Jessica Floyd to learn about erotic song from the repertoire of famed chantey singer Stan Hugill. Dr. Floyd's work is the first to delve deeply into work song and what their narratives represent about men, more generally, and the men who sang them.
