Are you ready for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games? Centuries before the modern games, for 1200 years every four years, the Ancient Olympic Games was the pinnacle of athletic and religious achievement. We’ll go beyond the archeological ruins of Olympia and explore the world of ancient athletes and the spectators who converged from all over the Greek world to witness feats of strength, speed, and skill.
Bio:
Christina Purcell, M.Ed., is an Assistant for the Office of Professional Programs. Her higher education work in Student Affairs and Admissions has sandwiched over twenty years experience in the entertainment and cruise industries, where she has presented lectures on culture, history and practical travel insights. Christina’s travels have taken her to all seven continents multiple times, but the Mediterranean remains her first and favorite area of exploration.
