How to Successfully Navigate your College Experience
Join us for a virtual series of informal talks on a variety of interdisciplinary topics.
Students, faculty, and staff — bring your own lunch and stay connected with the UMBC academic community.
This talk will be followed by a period of Q&A, so either post your questions in the comment section before the event starts, or in the WebEx chat once the event starts.
Description:
Choosing a major and trying to decide what you want to do for the rest of your life can be daunting, especially when you are just beginning college. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Getting exposure to possibilities in STEM and other fields while you are a student can help open doors to unexpected future career opportunities.
UMBC graduate Gabriel Duran will share how his experience and research at UMBC influenced his STEM career path. He will share stories about his student journey and offer helpful advice on how to successfully navigate the undergraduate student experience.
