Archaeologist and UMBC Instructor Meredith Fraser is currently in the field in Egypt, and will join Summer Session II in a few weeks to lead the course “Archaeology of Ancient Egypt” (ARCH 220). Students will have the opportunity to learn first-hand from an expert who has vast knowledge of Old, Middle and New Egypt and extensive archaeological experience. The course, which is offered for Arts & Humanities and Culture GEP credit, will explore the rise and development of Egyptian civilization through the lens of the material culture they left behind.
This course is a 4-week course starting in Session II. It is offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
