Dr. Donald Boesch, the President of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, will be coming to UMBC to present on this important issue.
The topic, "Projecting sea-level rise for Maryland," builds on a report released this summer by a working group chaired by Dr. Boesch for the Maryland Climate Change Commission.
The accelerating rise in sea level is a critical problem that will impact the state and its citizens over the remainder of this century and beyond. Dr. Boesch will also incorporate the latest information from the newly released report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
The seminar will be in Math-Psychology 104 from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Please note the change from our usual location.
