Plastic Film Recycling Now Available in Library Lobby

New this week, Plastic film recycling has been streamlined and relocated to a central drop off location in the AOK Library lobby. Anyone wishing to recycle plastic film such as plastic bags, bubble mailers, bubble wrap, case overwrap, and similar items that can NOT go in our regular recycling can drop off here at their convienience. This bin will be checked and emptied by sustainability staff/students. If you are not sure if what you have is recyclable, please check our website or reach out to us directly! You can find the full list of accepted items here.

Plastic film can NOT go in regular recycling bins on campus. Instead we collect it separately and recycle it with TurboHaul, and can be utilized in the manufacture of decking, outdoor furniture, playgrounds, landscaping blocks and borders, and corrugated pipe.

If you see another bin on campus labeled for plastic film recycling, please let us know so it can be removed. These bins are no longer being serviced.
