WHAT IS ASI?
ArtsCentric Summer Institute (ASI) is more than a program—it’s a transformation. Our immersive three-week musical theatre intensive propels dedicated performers (ages 14–22) to new heights. Through rigorous daily training in acting, singing, and dance, you won’t just learn the triple-threat disciplines—you’ll fuse them. Under the guidance of our esteemed instructors, each day blends dynamic group rehearsals with personalized coaching designed to sharpen your technique and unlock your unique artistic voice. Your journey culminates in a full-scale musical production, where you’ll take the stage with newfound confidence, artistry, and power.
This year’s production is a vibrant, joyous musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy: Twelfth Night, by phenomenal creators Kwame Kwei-Armah(One Love: The Bob Marley Musical) and Shaina Taub (Suffs). This isn’t your traditional Shakespeare. It’s a soulful, joyful and brilliantly reimagined celebration of mistaken identity, longing, and the dividing pursuit of love. Set to an infectious score that blends jazz, funk, and pop, this production pulses with contemporary energy and timeless heart.
We know – just seeing ‘Shakespeare’ can make you hesitate. But trust us: this show is actually fun – full of humor, drama and moments you’ll enjoy rehearsing. Prior experience with Shakespeare is not required. You just have to be willing to try something new with a group of people who won’t let you fail.
