Responding to Sexual Assault & Relationship Violence at UMBC
A Training for Faculty and Staff
Presenters: Jennifer K. Lepus and Alison Rohrbach, University Health ServicesUMBC Faculty and Staff are encouraged to attend a training to learn about the Voices Against Violence (VAV) Program, as well as the guidelines for reporting incidents of relationship violence and sexual assault.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to clearly identify the University's protocol for responding to and reporting incidents of relationship violence, sexual assault, etc. on UMBC's campus; understand the steps a faculty or staff member must take when reporting such an incident; comprehend the importance of reporting this information, both for the victim/survivor, as well as the University; clearly recognize the roles of the Voices Against Violence Program Coordinator and Title IX Coordinator, as well as members of the Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence Response Team (SARVRT); and be familiar with on and off campus resources for victims and survivors of violence.
