Adobe Acrobat: PDF Fundamentals Webinar
The Portable Document Format (PDF) is a universal document that can be viewable on any device. PDFs are easy to create from nearly any application, and easy to secure if there is sensitive material. If formatted correctly, PDFs can be searchable, interactive, and accessible. A PDF can even be filled out as a form or digitally signed. If you're only printing to PDF or reading PDFs, you're barely scratching the surface of what this powerful format can do for your department.
This 50-minute, information-packed webinar will present an overview on the Portable Document Format (PDF). By the end of this webinar, participants will learn how to:
convert their work into the Portable Document Format (PDF) using Adobe Acrobat
decide how/when to use other tools to create a PDF
combine files or parts of files into new documents
embed feedback and review comments for collaboration
assign a password to protect PDFs
create and collect forms
digitally sign a PDF
Additionally, we will review Acrobat's tools to support accessibility and optimize a PDF's size for distribution. Time permitting, we will review interactive links and buttons, bookmarks, watermarks, and backgrounds.
Participants should have working knowledge of Mac OS X or Windows skills.
Please make sure Adobe Acrobat DC is installed on your desktop or laptop prior to this webinar. Faculty and staff may install Adobe Creative Cloud applications at no cost on a University-owned device. Access software downloads and installation instructions on the Adobe Creative Cloud FAQ.
