Hello Retrievers and Valued Transit Riders,
UMBC Transit is thrilled to be part of the Safe Routes to Transit Study (Project Number: H590601) with our partners at the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works. This significant initiative is not just about enhancing connectivity, accessibility, and safety for transit users, but also about making a real difference in our community. By improving access to transit stops through bicycle and pedestrian facility upgrades, and focusing on providing ADA-compliant amenities and improving roadway crossing safety near transit stops, we are all contributing to a safer and more accessible community. Anne Arundel County, DPW, is seeking your valuable feedback through April 30, 2025.
We value your feedback and encourage our campus community to share your thoughts. Please take a moment to review the project webpage and provide your comments and questions via the interactive map. Your input is invaluable and will help us improve regional transportation connections and advance our mission of linking riders to their community and key destinations.
For further input, please contact Adam Greenstein, PE, PTOE, at pwgree08@aacounty.org. Your voice matters—let’s work together to improve transit accessibility for all!
Safe Travels,
Your Transit Team!
