Beginning 08.26.19 the following route names, configuration, and scheduling changes will go into effect at UMBC Transit:
Paradise (Weekdays & Weekends) — The existing Courtney Road route will be renamed to the Paradise route. This change highlights a major destination and point-of-interest for riders on this route. The new color for this route will be purple. There will be no changes to existing stops or schedule.
Courtney Road (Weekdays Only) — The current Courtney Road route will be changed to an entirely new route. The new route will focus on commuter students living in west Arbutus communities - Courtney Rd. and Westland Blvd. This route will operate during peak hours only and every 30 minutes during those periods (8:15am – 11:45am and 5:15pm – 8:45pm). Along with the Paradise route, riders living in these communities will have access to and from campus every 15 minutes during peak hours.
Arundel (Weekends Only) — The existing Arundel route color will be changed to grey. There will be no changes to the existing stops or schedule.
OCA Mocha (Office of Community Affairs) — Transit will be providing a shuttle to downtown Arbutus – East Drive, OCA Mocha, and the Greater Arbutus Business/Entertainment District. This route will operate every 30 minutes Monday thru Friday beginning at 8:00am thru 10:00pm. Weekend access to downtown Arbutus via the Arbutus / MARC route.
