Elder law sits at the intersection of legal advocacy, healthcare, and human services. Studying aging at UMBC's Erickson School of Aging Studies provides future attorneys with a deep, interdisciplinary foundation in senior housing, long-term care policy, and the social dynamics of aging. By understanding the real-world challenges older adults face, you'll be uniquely prepared to advocate for clients, navigate complex systems, and excel in health or elder law careers.
