The Mr. and Ms. ASA Pageant is an event to showcase your culture and talent in hopes of becoming a leader in the UMBC ASA community. This is a great way to increase your visibility amongst the DMV African community while also gaining leadership experience. We are looking for creative innovators and game changers who want to make a difference in their community. You will be judged in 3 categories: Cultural Introduction, Talent, and Platform Speech. The platform speech is where you will detail your plans for the UMBC ASA community. In the past our pageant winners' platforms included: mentoring program, financial literacy programs and high school mentoring programs. Your choice in talent or platform is completely up to you and we are open to anything.
Requirements to Compete:
1. Minimum of 2.0 GPA
2. Must be graduating after May 2025
3. Must have time for auditions, practice and rehearsals.
