As a new person to UMBC, I had seen the messaging about UMBC being an "honors university in Maryland".
When I arrived, I heard in a meeting that we are moving away from that language.
I have seen "An Honors University...." at the bottom of signature blocks for some people, but not others. I have heard "an honors university...." in remarks (most recently in the welcome for new employees by HR).
Is this branding we are using? If not, should we send out a communication about what should/shouldn't be in our signature blocks?
