Break bread and build bridges
Tuesday, April 8, 2025 · 6 - 8 PM
Off Campus
Passionate about bridge building? Want to build connections across lines of difference in an increasingly dived time? Join UMBC Hillel along with other community partners for the Baltimore Unity Dinner on Tuesday, April 8.
Partners include Johns Hopkins, Morgan State University, Bowie State University, Goucher College, Coppin State University, and Towson University.
Unity Dinners, created in partnership by the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Robert Kraft's Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS), and Hillel International, aim to rebuild the historical bonds between Black and Jewish communities, while also exploring their individual experiences. Funded by Robert Kraft, and led by the Director of the UNCF Tikkun Olam Society, Dr. John Eaves, Unity Dinners bring together Jewish students at Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs) and students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Unity Dinners create a unique and critical opportunity for a new generation of college students to connect, communicate, and build relationships, in the hopes of creating a more just future for themselves and their communities.
Past unity dinners have been held over the last year in Atlanta, Georgia, Washington DC, New Orleans, Lousiana and Houston Texas.
