Story of Survival: Community Discussion
Turning Pain into Light
In the wake of the immense pain and loss our nation endured on October 7th, 2023, we stand together this year — on October 28th, 2025 — with strength, unity, and defiance.
Join Chabad and Hillel in welcoming Shoham Cohen, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival massacre, to our UMBC campus. Shoham will courageously share his story of survival and resilience, followed by an open Q&A session.
Community Discussion: 7:15–8:30 PM
Doors open 7 PM.
Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions in advance through the registration form and ask additional questions during the event.
-All in attendance MUST bring a form of ID to present at check-in—campus ID is sufficient for those who have.
-Students planning to attend both the student dinner and discussion must RSVP for each event separately.
This event is open to full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
