Purim Carnival
Wednesday, March 11, 2020 · 5 - 9 PM
(Canceled)
Join us as we celebrate the holiday of Purim with a carnival on Main Street! Games, service projects, snacks, and more!
Purim is a festive holiday that celebrates Queen Esther saving the Jews from Haman, the royal viziar to King Ahasueras of Persia. It's often celebrated with carnivals and costumes. We also eat a pastry called Hamentaschen, which translates to "Haman's Ear."
If you are part of a student organization that would like to have a table at the Purim Carnival, please contact Hillel Student President, Reese Beyers, at bey1@umbc.edu
