An update for students that need kosher for Passover food next week:
We have been given room 115 in the Center for Well-Being to keep a dairy kosher for Passover toaster oven as well as certified kosher for Passover food (fixings for matzah pizza, snacks, and other food items that can be heated up. Potentially cold cuts s well). All items will be clearly marked as "UMBC Hillel kosher for Passover", and we will provide all necessary plates plastic ware and food items for the preparation and eating of kosher for Passover food.
Students can gain access by checking in with the student desk staff of the Gathering space who will then swipe them into the room.
Folks are welcome to prepare any food they wish in that room but are asked to eat anywhere else outside of that room to preserve it as a break room for staff in the building.
Chabad is also offering a free Passover meal plan—learn more and sign up here.
Additionally, Chartwells has a limited number of frozen kosher for Passover meat meals available over Chol HaMoed (the intermediate days). These are free for those on a meal plan, $10 for those that are not. Please contact David Glenn at david.glenn@compass-usa.com if you would like any of these meals.
