FACETS is a program at Harvard's School of Public Health on Fostering Advancement and Careers through Enrichment Training in Science.
The research program lasts for 6 weeks, where students are taught the social and quantitative areas of public health. Topics can be selected from:
- Global health
- Population
- Health policy
- Management
- Nutrition
Important Dates:
- Application Deadline: February 15th, 2016
- Program Start Date: June 13th, 2016
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be U.S citizens, U.S. nationals, or U.S. permanent residents
- be from an underrepresented group in biomedical research
- have a GPA of 3.0 or above
- be from a quantitative science background or taken several quantitative classes beyond introductory level
- have a demonstrated interest in public health, specifically epidemiology
