Becoming a Retriever is about starting your academic journey, building community, and getting introduced to UMBC values. As a part of the Retriever community, we value inclusive excellence, storytelling, and building authentic connections. Prioritizing these values requires us to know how to connect across differences, listen deeply, and treat one another with respect – we ALL have a part to play! As a part of Welcome Week, this in-person session will help you explore how you put the "I" in inclusion. Through storytelling, audience engagement, and reflection opportunities you will reflect on your role in ensuring an inclusive environment as you begin your UMBC journey. Woolie groups will be dismissed from the RAC to engage in small group conversations at various locations across campus.

All new students are expected to attend this event. Please have your Campus ID ready for scanning.
