Telling Our Stories Project
Do you identify as a woman of color? Have you had to deal with stereotypes and microaggressions? Are you passionate about being recognized as an individual? Come tell us your story and have your picture taken to be featured in the Telling Our Stories Campaign! Your picture and your words will be added to our virtual poster campaign. Check it out on Tumblr here!
The Women's Center will be on Main Street on March 25 and March 27 from 11 AM - 2 PM taking pictures of anyone willing to share their story! We will take your picture and ask you to fill out a prompt that states:
"My name is _______ and I am not ____________."
In the past, folks have shared...
"My name is Tanvi and I am not a model minority."
"My name is Idania and I am not a mamacita."
"My name is Loretta and i am not your tit."
If you can't make it on these dates/times, we will also taking picture at the Women's Center on April 1 and April 3 from 11 AM - 2 PM!
