Kuali Protocols allows access to the protocol document when a UMBC user is added to the People section of the main protocol ('Full Access' or 'Read-Only’). This is where the PI adds critical personnel such as Principal Investigators, Co-Investigators, and Key Personnel.
Protocols now allows for administrative contacts to be granted access to a protocol. This permission can be set to make general edits and adjustments to the data entry on a protocol form (when a department or college has an individual assisting PIs with Protocol submissions or simply view the protocol (i.e. Department Administrators, Department Head, etc.). 'Full Access' or 'Read-Only’ is provided here as well. A PI can add/remove users at any stage of a protocol and it does not require an amendment to the protocol to make these updates.
