Dr. Ramana Vinjamuri has been named a recipient of the 2025–2026 UMBC Marilyn E. Demorest Faculty Advancement Award. This distinguished honor recognizes his exceptional contributions to research excellence, mentorship, and academic leadership at UMBC. As Director of the Vinjamuri Lab, the NSF IUCRC BRAIN Center, and the UMB–UMBC ICTR Cyber & AI Core, Dr. Vinjamuri's work in neurotechnology, brain–computer interfaces, and human-centered robotics continues to drive innovation while creating transformative opportunities for faculty, students, and collaborators.
This award is supported by an endowment created by Dr. Marilyn Demorest, Professor Emerita of Psychology and former Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, to "support the advancement of all UMBC faculty members in their academic success at UMBC."
