Sherella Cupid (‘18) was
recently hired as the Partnerships Programs Associate at Alternate
ROOTS, where she supports overseeing the administration and implementation
of details and logistics for the partnership programs, community and field
engagement opportunities, and programming that bolsters the work.
As a member-focused
organization, Alternate ROOTS supports the creation and presentation
of original art that is rooted in community, place, tradition or spirit in the US
Southern region. Currently the organization is gearing up for a free VIRTUAL
ROOTS Weekend, Friday, May 14 to Sunday, May 16, the theme is Southern Soil:
Collective Liberation in Harmony with the Land.
