Meet Roberto Zurbano Torres and learn about his life and legacy in Cuba and beyond through a film and discussion with him.
He
has authored multiple books addressing topics such as racial politics,
music, and Black writers in the Caribbean and Latin America and works at
Casa de las Americas in Havana, a prestigious cultural center that
serves as a forum for dialogue in the Americas.
Zurbano will be visiting campus on October 23rd (in FA 011 at 4:30pm) as part of the Language, Literacy, and Culture Program's Black in the Americas series.
