Self-Care Strategies for Beating Holiday Stress

Interested in finding simple yet impactful ways to weave wellness into your professional and personal life? If so, please join faculty and staff colleagues for Wellness Wednesdays the first Wednesday of each month (September to June). Each session offers information, resources, and/or immersion into different wellness modalities that are supported at UMBC.
** Please note that due to Service Awards, this month's Wellness Wednesday will take place on the second Wednesday.
Do you bristle at the thought of the holidays and all of the chaos that comes with them? Would you like to learn some strategies to get control over your health, spending, and time during this busy season? In this interactive 1-hour workshop offered by UMBC's Counseling Center staff, participants will learn the signs and symptoms of holiday stress and will be introduced to self-care methods to create peace during an otherwise chaotic time. This session will look at the impact of stress in both personal and professional life and will provide participants with a chance to reclaim this time of year, designing self-care strategies that are aligned with their values.
