Many caregivers find themselves suddenly thrust into situations where they are providing care for loved ones, while feeling wholly unprepared for the many challenges that the new role brings. What can caregivers do to obtain the necessary skills to improve their own quality of life as well as that of their loved ones?
Dr. Peter Rabins, MD, MPH, UMBC Aging Faculty Member and Author of "The 36 Hour Day" as well as "The Why of Things," will present valuable information on the topic of caregiver skills, including managing the behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia; communicating better with care recipients; and enhancing care recipients' quality of life, improving daily activities, and increasing pleasant events.
Dr. Rabins will also answer general and specific questions as time allows during the hour-long session. Join us for this informative and valuable skills training program for caregivers!
