Support Networks for Caregivers
Eldercare Series
Thursday, November 9, 2017 · 12 - 1 PM
On Campus
Family caregivers provide the majority of support for their loved ones. Lives are often put on hold to care for an aging parent or relative. As the demographic shifts, there will be fewer children to care for aging parents, and there will be a demand for alternate solutions.
To build your confidence in securing excellent care and meaningful experiences for your loved one, and even to plan for your own needs, we will be offering a session that will explore resources available. We will discuss resources available through local government and Partners in Care, an organization that provides programs and services that support the independence of older adults.
Christopher Moore and Mary Chaput from the Anne Arundel County of Aging and Disabilities, and Ashley Johnson with Partners in Care, will provide an overview of services available. Both Christopher and Ashley are graduates of UMBC Erickson School and have a Masters degree in Management of Aging Services.
Space is limited and registration is required. Registration deadline is Friday, November 3rd! Register at http://my.umbc.edu/groups/training/events/51031.
Please note this training will take place in 5523 Research Park Drive, Suite 230.
This is a qualifying event for WIN Rewards - Emotional!
