Making a Difference: Finding Our Roles in Social Change
A workshop with Deepa Iyer
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure about how to make a difference in today’s world, this workshop is for you. Deepa Iyer — writer, activist, and author of the Social Change Ecosystem framework — will lead an interactive workshop to introduce ten social change roles that we can play in our everyday lives. We will discuss the breadth of civic action that includes voting, community service, and social movements; identify the roles that each of us plays; find people with similar interests; and come up with next steps. Food will be provided.
This event will have limited seating, so a RSVP form will be posted during the official announcement. Follow us on myUMBC to receive a notification when RSVPs are open.
This program is open for full participation by all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the university's nondiscrimination policy.
