Community Standards
- Respect others and their experiences and opinions.
- Listen to learn, including from people with whom you disagree (i.e. be open to hearing different perspectives).
- Lean into discomfort, and know that growth sometimes means engaging with ideas that are unfamiliar, odd, and new.
- Take responsibility for the quality of the conversation (e.g., participate but also provide space for others to participate). Be mindful of the time and space you are taking up.
- Speak primarily from your own experiences, not from others' experiences.
- Keep your contributions relevant to the topic.
- Treat personal sharing by others in the circle as confidential; the learning leaves with us, but the specific stories stay behind.
- Allow for ragged thoughts; it's okay if every thought isn't fully polished.
- Make room for clarifications, and lead with curiosity about what people are saying; accept that communicating can be hard.
