Registration for Spring 2024 is just around the corner which means that you will want to plan to meet with your assigned major advisor in order to discuss your academic plan and to remove your advising hold.
Keep in mind that advising is MANDATORY every semester and must be completed prior to registration for the upcoming term.
Check your myUMBC email (sent today -- October 3rd) for your advisor assignment and further instructions.
Advisor assignments can also be found via the CNMS Advising website here (by major).
Newly or recently declared life science majors who do not have a listed advisor assignment should contact CNMSAdvising@umbc.edu for support.
Most importantly, please follow any instructions provided by your assigned advisor regarding their procedure for scheduling an advising appointment and the deadlines that they set. Most faculty advisors begin offering advising appointments closer to the release of the spring schedule.
