HackUMBC: 36-hour innovation marathon
Collaborate & prototype a new app, website, game or product
Friday, October 29, 2021 at 8 PM - Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 5 PM
Registration is now open for 2021 hackUMBC 36-hour innovation marathon, which runs from 8:00 pm on Friday, October 29 to 5:00 pm Sunday, October 31.
If you have an idea for an app, a website, a game, a product, or anything else that might improve the UMBC community and beyond, this is your chance to bring it to life. No technical or coding experience is required, just bring your creative minds and get ready for a weekend of fun!
You can meet students from all different majors and backgrounds, share ideas, and get started on building and designing. All weekend long, there will be workshops teaching valuable skills, like creating websites and machine learning for beginners that you don’t learn in the classroom. HackUMBC is a great opportunity to showcase your project and what you learned on your CV/Resume to set yourself apart from everyone else, regardless of your major and career goals.
Speak with recruiters and professionals from Google Cloud, Capital One, T. Rowe Price, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, and our many other partners across the Baltimore Area, looking to see what ideas you have to improve the community. This is a great chance to speak to recruiters, showcase your creativity and skills, and possibly land new career opportunities, internships, and jobs!
hackUMBC will have $10,000 in prizes for what you can create over the weekend, free shirts, plushies, water bottles, and more.
