Create Accessible Documents and Meet the Needs of Your Audience
Featuring MS Word, Google Docs, Ultra Docs, Adobe Acrobat
Are you new to creating accessible documents?Join this session to learn how to create accessible documents using MS Word, Google Docs, Blackboard Ultra, and Adobe Acrobat. We will also share best practices that enhance document accessibility by leveraging features in these tools, including:
- Headings
- Alt text for images
- Accessible font formats, colors
- Accessible tables
- Built-in accessibility checkers
- Simple, clear writing guidelines
This session will be facilitated by Dr. Susan Biro, Manager, Online Learning, and Ada Crutchfield, Instructional Design Specialist.

At least 5 registrations are needed for this session to proceed as scheduled. The session will be recorded if two or more people attend and the link will be distributed to everyone who registered. All recordings are posted to the Instructional Technology Training Archive in Panopto.
JOINING THE SESSION
This webinar will take place in a Google Meet virtual conference room. Enter the webinar up to 10 minutes before the start time. Visit the myUMBC Event post and select the "Join Online Event" button to join the Google Meet session.
