We would like to invite graduating seniors (graduating in 2022 or 2023) in the Economics Department to apply for the position of Junior Stanley Surrey Fellow in the Office of Tax Analysis (OTA), U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Attached are a general description of our office and the position, and an overview of the work experiences of previous Fellows. The fellowship is a great entry level position for economics students who want to work in public policy, further develop skills and who enjoy a fast-paced collegial environment.
The fellowship is a 2-year full-time, paid work position (GS-7 or 9 depending on experience) in Washington, D.C. and is often used as a bridge between undergraduate and graduate education. Fellows are up for promotion to a higher grade level after one year. Fellows must be U.S. citizens. Our office is currently on a hybrid work schedule with 2 required workdays in the Treasury Building. The number of required workdays in the office may increase.
Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume and an unofficial transcript to:
OTA_Research_Assistant@treasury.gov.
