In "Young learners’ Voices: Towards a Learner-Centered Approach to Understanding Language Assessment Literacy," published in the journal Language Testing, Dr. Lee and her colleagues Drs. Yuko Goto Butler and Xiaolin Peng from the University of Pennsylvania explore young learners' perspectives on language assessment. Among other results, they found that learners have a preference for communicative-based assessment.
In "A Comprehensive Review of the Effect of Using Music in Second Language Learning," which appears in the book Crossing Borders, Making Connections: Interdisciplinarity in Linguistics (De Gruyter), Dr. Lee and Dr. Matthew Schreibeis of Hong Kong Baptist University critically review research studies that examine the effect of music in L2 learning from educational linguistic as well as musical perspectives.
