UMBC’s Legacy of Literacy: Building a Brighter Future Together

We are excited to share UMBC’s Legacy of Literacy initiative, a community book drive created to help expand access to high-quality, culturally relevant books for students in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Inspired by President Valerie Sheares Ashby’s call to “Emphasize the B in UMBC,” this campaign is designed to strengthen UMBC’s connection to the Baltimore community by supporting local schools, encouraging young readers, and helping students and families see UMBC as part of their community and future.

Join us in fostering a lifelong love of reading and inspiring the next generation of Retrievers by making a gift or sharing the campaign with your network.
