As you all know, the HCC is a fantastic group of Honors students who want nothing but to plan fun and meaningful events for the Honors College--but they are always looking for folks with great energy and ideas to join them!
There are three Chair positions, so please read the descriptions to see if any of these sound like they were made for you!
Major Events Chairs (two people)
- reports to External Vice President
- handles major events such as the HCC Charity Gala and Trivia Night
- assists the Charity Gala Planning Committee in terms of outreach, catering, budget, decorations, performances, agendas, and other preparation
- serves as the HCC liaison with the Scholars programs and outside organizations when needed (especially re: the Charity Gala)
Recurrring Events Chairs (two people)
- reports to the Internal Vice President
- coordinates (and attends) regularly scheduled (monthly or biweekly) events such as Lunch in the Lounge
- possesses strong organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Social Media Manager (one person)
- reports to the President
- creates interactive posts on social media
- advertises events, creates various announcements, and helps increase event attendance via social media outreach
- possesses a good understanding of Instagram and Canva
