Effective May 16 – July 15, 2022, there will be a temporary freeze on reclassification actions. The following classification change actions are exempt from the freeze: acting capacity, operationally critical retention, and changes of vacant positions in preparation for recruitment. As in past years, we are announcing the freeze in preparation for COLA/Merit processing.
Retroactive adjustments will not be considered for changes made during the freeze period. Therefore, we strongly recommend that supervisors refrain from changing the duties and responsibilities of staff between May 16 and July 15, 2022. Requests submitted during the “freeze period” will be returned to the department/division for resubmission after July 15.
We will do our best to complete all studies currently in our office prior to May 16. Since that might not be possible, rest assured that we will continue reviewing and processing requests submitted prior to May 16.
