Stephan Chan PMP ,CISSP
Currently Stephan Chan is an Information Security officer for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs where a big part of his job is to improve the operations of the VA from a peoples management position. He has held many jobs in the Information Security field, for example :
- Project Manager : George Washington University
- Enterprise Service Account Manager : Sun Microsystems, inc.
- Director of Systems Engineering : Dataflow Technologies
- Engineer : Westinghouse Advanced Technology Labs-Space Division
These jobs allowed him to hone the skills to start his own company Uniprime Systems, Inc.
Uniprime Systems, Inc., was a consulting firm that specialized in systems design engineering, which covers all facets of project management and design including: problem determination/definition, requirements analysis and definition, feasibility analysis, comprehensive systems design (including custom and off-the-shelf hardware, systems and applications software, firmware, peripherals, information security, maintenance, service, disaster recovery, and business continuity), design verification/validation, plus manpower and time estimates.
He custom-designed and taught courses on Systems Design Engineering, UNIX, Competitive Analysis, “ How to Select a Suitable Computer,“ and is Currently on the faculty of George Washington University, where he helps design and teach their UNIX/C curriculum. He also is an Expert Witness in federal procurement cases involving UNIX, POSIX, FIPS, GOSIP, compliance with RFP requirements, and cost/benefit analysis
Stephan Chan received his M.S in Computer Science and B.A. in Biology from John Hopkins University.
