Perform copy cataloging of print and special formats materials for both general stacks and Special Collections.
Perform problem solving to complete database maintenance projects within the library catalog.
Participate in initiatives related to digitization, special collections access, and other metadata-dependent efforts to share collections with users.
Manage mending and special formats processing activities.
Participate in library and campus activities as appropriate.
Contribute to the Libraries' diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Bachelor’s degree
One year of library experience directly related to the primary duties of the position (Related graduate courses equivalent to one year of experience may be substituted for the one year of required experience.)
Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Progress towards a Library Science master’s degree (MLS or MLIS) will be taken into consideration
One or more years working in a library technical services setting.
Experience performing copy cataloging.
Experience with OCLC Connexion.
Experience using the staff interface of an integrated library or next generation system, such as Alma or OCLC WorldShare.

Contingent II positions may include benefits.
Benefits offered align with type (Regular, Contingent II, etc.) of position. Pay Range 10 (starting at $48,138 as of July 1st) based on the University System of Maryland Pay Program. This regular non-exempt position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday to Friday with opportunity for telework up to two days a week.
