A new addition has been made to the AOK Library’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) & AI Literacy research guide, featuring student recommendations for an AI policy framework. This zine was created by students in the Human-Centered Computing 629: Fundamentals of Human Centered Computing class taught by Dr. Yasmine Kotturi, Information Systems Assistant Professor, Computer Science & Electrical Engineering Affiliate Faculty, USM 2025-2026 Generative AI Pedagogy Fellow, and Principal Investigator for the UMBC President Hrabowski Pedagogy Innovation Award 2025-2026. Julie Sayo, Visual Arts Assistant Professor, led the creative direction for the zine.
Inside the zine, you’ll find informative, insightful student perspectives for both students and faculty to consider in navigating academia and generative artificial intelligence. Although this framework is a product of Human-Centered Computing, these considerations and recommendations can be applied across multiple disciplines.
For more information on the framework, please contact Dr. Kotturi at kotturi@umbc.edu.
