Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Reminders for Fall 2026 Semester

Happy Fall semester! We hope your semester is off to a great start after we are a few weeks into the semester! 

Interlibrary Loan 

As a reminder, if there are materials you need for your research that are unavailable from the UMBC Library or from another University of Maryland (USMAI) campus, you can always submit an ILL request on our website at ill.umbc.edu. (Don’t have an ILL account yet? See our How to create an ILL Account Video Tutorial.)

Simply click on your request type, fill in any relevant details, and submit. Our staff will then process your request and try to request an article to be delivered electronically to your ILL account or for a physical book to be sent here to UMBC for you.

Before submitting an ILL request, please check our library catalog (under “AOK OneSearch”) to confirm if UMBC or another USMAI campus has access to the material first. Please note that items available through the UMBC and USMAI, including ebooks, are not eligible for ILL. To see if your request is eligible for ILL, please see our Interlibrary Loan Guidelines.
